The Extensible Markup Language (XML) has emerged as a key component to the next generation of IT systems currently being developed. From enterprise application integration (EAI) projects to advanced web content management (WCM) systems, XML provides a foundation for many of today’s advanced system designs. This full day class introduces the fundamentals of XML. The class covers the core concepts of XML markup, validation and presentation as well as more advanced topics including XML transformations and DTD creation. Also included are working examples of the use of the Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), the Document Object Model (DOM), and Extensible Stylesheet Languages (XSLT).
